THOMAS GREEN, Jr. has published ten successful novels; Love’s Home Run (1997), Courting Miss Thang (1998), Player No More (2002), When It Hurts So Bad (2003), Tabu (2004), The Christmas Party (2005), Change For A Dyme (2006), Purple Lipstick (2007), Larry’s Girls (2008), and Decatur Cab (2010).

Thomas writes love stories involving professional athletes, taking both male and female readers into another side of the lives of ballplayers, their need for steady, real love. The fact that they are well-developed love stories appeals to female readers. The sports and in depth way Thomas handles the ball players and their private times in the locker rooms, before and after games, delights male readers as well as females who either have played sports, love sports or have a natural curiosity.

Other authors have touched on pro athletes but none have the credentials to impress readers like Thomas Green. He has played all the sports he writes about, both competitively and for fun. He played semi-pro baseball and football in New York. Thomas has traveled across the country, and to the Caribbean, to play in baseball tournaments.

Thomas was a sports reporter in New York, working for the New York Post, The Gannett Westchester Newspapers, as well as The City Sun, a Black-owned newspaper. He has covered all levels of sporting events, from high school to professional.

He uses his many varied experiences in playing ball, covering athletes and trying to fall in love to weave readable, likable characters with strong storylines that readers relate to and enjoy.
